Bag of the Month Club - April - The Gabby pattern designed by Emmaline Bags

The Gabby Bag front
I was privileged to test the April Bag of the Month -- The Gabby Bag. This is a fine bag for everyday use that can be dressed up or made casual simply by the fabrics chosen. Janelle at Emmaline Bags was a delight to work with. Her pattern was well written and easy to follow. The Gabby Bag makes up quickly with some unusual construction techniques. I made mine in some long-saved quilting cottons.

The Gabby Bag finishes to just 12" wide x 9" high x 3" deep, but still has lots of room. She has interior and exterior zipper pockets, a divided interior slip pocket with a single shoulder strap that can be made longer to become an adjustable strap that can be worn on the shoulder or as a cross-body.

It was the first time I had tested for Janelle at Emmaline Bags and I enjoyed the entire experience and look forward to testing for her again in the future. I also found this to be not only a really well-designed and functional bag, but one the was a lot of fun to sew.

Until next time, may you sew with joy, stay healthy and be filled with God's awesome blessings!
