Lunar Collection by ChrisW Designs

I recently have been in secret mode while delightedly testing the pattern for the June Bag of the Month Club that was released on June 1st. This is an amazing pattern with 3 sizes of travel style bags that you can create as your own collection or just chose the size that is best for you.

During the testing time period, I was able to squeeze in two different sizes. As always, Christine's designs are a delight. Do not be dismayed by the large number of pages in her patterns. You only need to print the pattern pieces and cutting sheets. Look at the rest on your computer or tablet as you sew. She includes lots of detailed photos and directions. You will be able to get your patterns after the January to June BOMC is over on her site (click on the ChrisWDesigns link just to the right of this post) or join the January to June Bag of the Month Club before the end of June and get all 6 patterns at once by clicking here.

I chose faux leather (vinyl) and coordinating cotton fabrics for my Half Moon version. I also included the adjustable strap and front flap. My faux leather was a bit thick and squishy making it harder to sew. I should have used cotton fabric for the tabs for my cording to make it easier to close.

Next we'll look at the smallest size--the Quarter Moon. I chose to use all cotton fabrics for this bag and to omit both the front flap and the adjustable strap.

This pattern (with three sizes and completer pattern pieces) is wonderful, allowing lots of options to suit exactly your needs. It can be made in a variety of fabrics. As always, I can be privately contacted for special orders.

Until next time, may you sew with joy, stay healthy and be filled with God's awesome blessings!
